The presence of such a tank gave the estate its name. When you trek down from the house you will see this lovely tank surrounded by banana trees. There is a stream gurgling by the tank and this easily is the spot where you want to spend a few moments by yourself. The part of the estate you will stay in has the house at the top, on a flat piece of land. The estate then slopes down to a tank . This is a beautiful place to sit and read a book or relax or even have a snooze.

Pottikere Estate is situated on the Madikeri - Siddapur road. It is exactly 4kms from Madikeri city. The estate grows coffee, pepper, cardamom, avocado, banana and jackfruit. At Homestay the living room is spacious with ample seating. You get a good view of the estate from here. The kitchen has been kept away so as not to disturb you with the sounds and smells. You can spend time in the verandah and watch the weather system go by. It is very relaxing. There is a cook and a caretaker at the house. Your needs will be amply taken care of.
