Palampur is at an altitude of 1,249 m in the state of Himachal
Pradesh. Palampur is a major town of the Kangra Valley. Known as
Trigarta of the earlier times, Palampur was the part of the
Kingdom of Jalandhar. it is located about 40 kms. from the very
popular tourist spot Dharamshala.
