Barsingha was started by the original members of the Barsingha family in Bhap in 1990. Later in 2005 one of the sons Narendra Singh decided to turn the family home into a small Homestay Villa.

He had many years of experience in hotel management in major heritage Hotels in Rajasthan. And her family friend Julie Salmon from Western Australia had spent lot of time staying with the family and wanted to help in promoting Homestay life in Bhap, Rajasthan.

She also wanted to provide assistance to the local people by offering training opportunities in tourism and funds for the local school for computers further education. Barsingha House is dedicated to funding accommodation for further education in bigger cities for boarding school and also supplying computers and other materials required for school so the children can have as many opportunities to go on further.
